The Prime Minister wants a ban on apps like Tik Tok

Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is deeply concerned over the growing nudity and obscenity in the society and has directed all concerned authorities to stop it as it would result in failure. The social and religious values of Pakistani society will be destroyed.

Shibli Faraz said that the Prime Minister has spoken to me not once or twice but 15 or 16 times on this issue and he wanted to stop the spread of pornography through central media and social media and its applications. A comprehensive strategy should be formulated. Shibli Faraz said that the Prime Minister says that the incidence of rape of children and women has increased due to nudity.

He said that the Prime Minister had recently told him that apps like Tik Tok were doing great damage to the values of the society so it should be blocked. According to Shibli Faraz, he told the Prime Minister that these apps would be contacted first so that they would respect the values of the society and ensure that no immoral or obscene material could be shared on them.

Shibli Faraz said that he (Prime Minister Imran Khan) is a person who has spent his entire life in the West, so he understands our social and cultural values, which should be protected.

He said that all possible steps would be taken to curb pornography. When his attention was drawn to the controversial content on PTV, which was also featured on social media, Shibli Faraz said that he would soon meet the PTV's managing director to discuss the matter. We will ensure that no content that conflicts with our social and religious values is broadcast.

He assured that what I do not like for my daughter, I will not like for anyone else's sister's daughter, state TV should be a role model for private channels.

Meanwhile, it is learned that PEMRA has also been asked to take steps to curb the spread of pornography through private television channels, but the agency is not doing so enthusiastically.

The News also learned that Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked his Special Assistant for Information Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Bajwa to come up with a comprehensive strategy to rid Pakistani dramas and films of immoral and obscene material.

The Prime Minister asked Bajwa to bring such dramas and films which would present the great Islamic history, make the youth aware of the role of Muslim heroes and their achievements and bring forth constructive work free from obscene and immoral content. Be

Sources say that Bajwa is already in touch with PTV and playwrights and TV dramatists and producers to move Pakistani films away from the trend of Bollywood centralization and put them on the path on which Turkey And Iran is moving forward successfully.

The Turkish drama Ertugrul, which is being aired on PTV at the behest of the Prime Minister, is a great success and has broken all records. Similarly, the Prime Minister also directed the PTA to rid the internet, social media and its apps of pornographic material.

PTA Chairman Major General (retd) Amir Azeem Bajwa had recently told this correspondent that Prime Minister Imran Khan was worried about the destruction of social, cultural and religious values of the society due to pornography. The PTA chairman said that according to the constitution and national law, obscene and immoral material could not be spread.

The PTA recently banned five dating apps involved in promoting nudity and even promoting homosexuality. These apps had live streaming facilities and contained content shared by Pakistani users, which shows how these apps were promoting an immoral environment in the country.

Earlier, in July, the PTA issued a final notice to Chinese social media app Tik Tokasking it to ban pornographic material, according to a media report.

The Bego Live Video Streaming app was also banned, although the ban was lifted a few days later because the app agreed to remove indecent content. The PTA has also instructed Internet operators not to allow illegal and immoral content to reach consumers.
