Punjab police claimed to have arrested the main accused in Gujjarpura gang rape case.

According to details, a tragic incident of gang rape of mother in front of children took place on Gujjarpura Link Road near the provincial capital Lahore two days ago. Police sources said that the main accused in the case was arrested while another accused was arrested in Karol village. Extensive search operation is underway.

Police officials have also called for a heavy contingent from the police lines for the search operation. The Punjab Forensic Science Agency has set up camp in the stadium in the area and so far DNA samples of 45 people have been taken. Awaiting the report of police samples.

Sources said that the police teams also sent the data of fingerprints on the vehicle to NADRA.

Police teams along with 3 detectives checked an area of ​​5 km around the spot and marked the suspected points while on various evidences the police arrested seven suspects. Kashif, Abid, Salman, Abdul Rehman, Haider Sultan, Abu Bakar, Asghar Ali were taken into custody and their DNA tests have been done.

The Punjab Chief Minister has constituted a five-member committee for investigation, which will submit a report in three days.
