Taliban attack on Afghan security forces kills 29

Clashes between the Taliban and Afghan forces in Afghanistan have killed 29 security personnel. Afghan authorities have confirmed the deaths of 29 security personnel, according to private TV channel Geo News. Zalmai Khalilzad, US Special Envoy for the Afghan Reconciliation Process, expressed regret over the loss of precious human lives. "The recent tensions in Afghanistan are reprehensible," he said. The parties to the Afghan peace talks must reduce the violence.
