Suspension of social media accounts of showbiz personalities including Kim Kardashian

Dozens of showbiz stars, including American actress and model Kim Kardashian, have announced the closure of their social media accounts.

Showbiz figures have made the announcement in reference to hate propaganda and misinformation.

Kim Kardashian wrote in her social media statement yesterday that spreading false information on social media has very serious effects.

The boycott of social media accounts by Kim Kardashian and other showbiz personalities is part of the 'Stop Hate for Profit' campaign launched by civil society, under which showbiz personalities use their social media accounts for 24 hours. Will suspend

"I cannot remain silent on the issue of hate, propaganda and misinformation spread by social media platforms. Misinformation has a serious impact on our elections and democracy," Kim Kardashian wrote.

Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Sasha Baron, Jennifer Lawrence and singer Katy Perry are also involved in the campaign to close social media accounts.

Singer Katy Perry also posted a message on her Instagram accounts like Kim Kardashian and wrote that she could not remain silent on the spread of false information by social media platforms.

The Stop Hate for Profit campaign against Facebook and Instagram began in June this year, with these social media platforms being accused of failing to take appropriate action to curb the spread of hateful and misinformation.

Social media platform Facebook, which is also a core group of Instagram and WhatsApp, earned 70 70 billion in advertising last year.

In June, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he would remove all hate speech from his social media platform, but would continue to spread hateful advertising and misinformation on social media platforms. The series continues.
