On the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the portfolio of Ministry of Counter Narcotics and Saffron has been withdrawn from Minister of State Shehryar Afridi.
According to private TV, after the approval of the Prime Minister, Shehryar Afridi has been de-notified by the Ministry of Saffron and Narcotics Control. A notification has also been issued by the Cabinet Division to return his portfolio.
This is the second time that he has been removed from the ministry. He had been removed from the ministry once before and Azam Swati was given the charge but he was reinstated in the cabinet.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shehryar Afridi will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Special Committee on Kashmir of the Parliament. He was elected Chairman of this Committee on May 13.
