Saudi Arabia, a young man arrested for advertising on SnapChat

Saudi police have arrested a young man who was trying to become popular on social media.

According to Arab media reports, the traffic police of the Saudi capital Riyadh arrested a young driver who was using a SnapChat ID instead of a number plate on his car.

A young Saudi man shared a photo of a car on the internet and wrote that a man was moving around freely by putting a SnapChat ID instead of a number plate on his car to become famous on SnapChat.

The Traffic Police Department took note of the post and directed the officers to find the person violating the law.

In a short time, the traffic police found the vehicle and its owner and handed him over, while seizing the vehicle.

According to police officials, "the arrested youth confessed in the interrogation that he had clearly violated the law."

The traffic department has clarified that "any change in the number plate of the vehicle is a traffic violation, it is an official identification and tampering with it is a crime".

According to a police spokesman, "according to the traffic rules, changing the body of the vehicle is also a violation, while sticking an unnecessary sticker on the vehicle can also result in a fine."
