News of lockdown in UAE declared false

 


The UAE government called the news of the lockdown a rumor and appealed to the public not to listen to false information.

According to Gulf News, the Interior Ministry has termed the news about the lockdown as false and asked the people to reject such rumors.

In a tweet on social media, the Interior Ministry clarified that the news about the lockdown was false.

The Home Ministry wrote a 'fake' report on the lockdown report shared on social media, urging users to beware of such false news.

According to Dubai Police, spreading rumors is a crime punishable by at least one year under federal law.
