Aamir Khan, an internationally renowned Pakistani-born British boxer, told his fans that he was leaving the UK and moving to Dubai permanently. Former world boxing champion and Olympic silver medalist Aamir Khan has said that he wants to promote boxing in the United Arab Emirates as well, for which he is moving permanently from the UK to Dubai.
He announced his move to Dubai during the launch of OJ Lifestyle Model 'X' at the Coca-Cola Arena on City Walk. The audience was very happy. Aamir Khan, who is about to announce his official retirement from boxing, is now opening a boxing academy in Dubai.
Aamir Khan will also be partnering with his longtime British business friend Omar Jackson, the founder of OJ Lifestyle's 'X', in his sports-related business.
"I intended to keep my intention to stay in Dubai secret, but I think it is appropriate to say so," Aamir Khan said during the ceremony. I have been coming to Bolton (UK) from Dubai, but my permanent home will now be Dubai. I want to do a lot to promote boxing in Dubai. In this regard, I have talked to the Dubai Sports Council and Omar Jackson so that we can promote boxing activities here.
There may be times when boxing competitions are held at the Coca-Cola Arena. Moving to Dubai is certainly a challenge, but it will also give me the opportunity to develop the sport of boxing in Dubai. Jackson and Aamir Khan are also launching a gym from OJ Lifestyle's platform called 'THE BOX'. The gym will open later this year.
