India: Cylinder exploded, CNG station employees burnt

In India, a cylinder exploded while filling a truck with CNG, injuring two CNG employees.

According to details, the cylinder of a truck exploded with a loud explosion while filling CNG in a truck at a CNG station in Dwarka Sector 20 of New Delhi, the capital of India.

The blast was so loud that it could be heard from afar, causing panic in the area. Rakesh and Pawan, employees of the CNG filling station in the truck, were seriously injured in the blast and were rushed to a local hospital. Admitted for treatment.

According to Indian media, the fire brigade officer present on the spot said that the accident could have been bigger and more fatal but the major accident was avoided as the other cylinder was also leaking.

"Otherwise, there was a risk of fire with the blast, which could have caused a major catastrophe, so people were evacuated from the scene while filling up at the CNG station," he said.
