In Mexico, gunmen opened fire on a funeral home, killing eight people and injuring 12, according to a foreign news agency.
The dead and injured were shifted to the hospital where medical aid is being provided to the injured while the condition of two others is said to be critical.
Gunmen targeted the funeral home at night, with dozens of people present at the funeral.
Police say the incident is under investigation and no progress has been made so far in identifying or arresting the attackers.
Earlier in July, 24 people were killed in a shooting at an illegal drug rehabilitation center in the north-central Mexican state of Guyana.
Seven people injured in the shooting were taken to hospital for medical treatment, police said, adding that photographs of the scene showed people in the rehabilitation center lying on the ground during the shooting.
Governor Diego Sinoho Rodriguez Valgio said the motive for the attack had not yet been determined, but that drug groups appeared to be involved.
