In India, the Supreme Court has finally ruled in a 21-year-old rape case that stunned every listener. According to the India Times, a girl was raped in the Indian state of Jharkhand in 1999. He detained the girl for several days and raped her. The trial court convicted him and sentenced him to seven years in prison, but he went to the Jharkhand High Court, which upheld his sentence.
According to the report, the accused approached the Supreme Court after the High Court and presented the same evidence before the Supreme Court which had been rejected by the lower courts. The evidence also included love letters written by the girl. The lawyer of the accused took the position that both the girl and the boy loved each other and the girl voluntarily stayed with him and had sex with him.
