155 years have passed since the death of US President Abraham Lincoln, but now a bunch of his hair has been put up for auction.

According to foreign media reports, a letter with this bunch of Abraham Lincoln's hair was also auctioned.

According to the RR Auction of Boston, its potential sale was estimated at US 75 75,000, but the buyer bought it for US 8 81,250 for about 17.3 million Pakistani rupees.

The auctioneer did not name the man who bought the former US president's hair.

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, was shot in the head by an actor named J. W. Booth on April 14, 1865 in a theater.

Abraham Lincoln succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on the morning of April 15.

According to a foreign website, after the autopsy of Abraham Lincoln, the doctor cut some of his hair and made a tuft.

The autopsy was performed by Dr. Todd, a cousin of Dr. Abraham Lincoln's wife, who cut her hair during the autopsy.

The hair was later presented by Dr. Todd's secretary by attaching it to a telegram from the War Department, and it has now been auctioned off with the same telegram.
