Actress Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan's mobile phones were seized in a drug-related investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case.
According to Indian media reports, the leading stars in the investigation of drug mafia cases in Bollywood appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today.
During interrogation at NCB, Deepika Padukone confessed to circulating WhatsApp messages in the media with her manager Karisma Prakash.
However, according to the latest reports, the authorities have seized the mobile phones of Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan.
According to media reports, NCB officials said that these phones will be sent for forensics.
At the same time, Sara Ali Khan was also asked for the mobile phones that she has been using since 2017. However, the actress expressed ignorance about these phones.
It is to be noted that besides Sara Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, actress Shardha Kapoor was also summoned for questions and answers while no further summons were issued by the investigating agency.
It may be recalled that the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his room on June 14.
Initially, the police termed the case as suicide, but when the investigating agencies started investigating it from different angles, the matter escalated to giving drugs to Sushant.
In this connection, a former friend of Sushant Singh Rajput, Ryachakarvarti, was arrested who gave the names of the users of the missiles, including Sara Ali Khan.
The NCB expanded its probe, summoning Deepika Padukone and Shardha Kapoor for questioning on drug use.
It should be noted that Sara Ali Khan and Shardha Kapoor have denied the allegations regarding the use of drugs.
