Big news for Steel Mills employees, Golden Handshake Plan approved

Approves Golden Handshake Plan for Steel Mills Employees, Approves Funds of Rs. 19.65 billion.

A meeting of the Economic Co-ordination Committee chaired by the Finance Adviser was held in which the Golden Handshake Plan for Steel Employees was approved. Funds of Rs. 19.65 billion were also approved for the Golden Handshake. Non-Petitions Rs. Has been sanctioned, 3978 retired employees of Pakistan Steel are non-petitioners to whom dues will be paid.

The Economic Co-ordination Committee directed the Ministry of Food to provide updates on the availability and supply of wheat at every meeting. On the other hand, approval was given to set up 126 posts for the management of Kartarpur and also to convert NHA loan into grant. The meeting also approved to provide gas and RLNG for 5 export sectors. Economic Co-ordination Committee raises gas price for commercial consumers, ECC raises gas meter rent from Rs 20 to Rs 40
