Bakhtawar faces criticism for proposing to curb the rising incidence of 'rape'

Anger is still being expressed across the country over the gang-rape of a woman waiting for help on a motorway in Punjab last night by the accused a few days ago.

At the same time, the government and politicians are demanding legal reform, including the public execution of criminals.

Three days ago, between Tuesday and Wednesday night, September 10, on the outskirts of Lahore, two accused gang-raped a French woman in front of her children, robbed her of her ATM cards and fled.

A day earlier, the Punjab government had claimed to have identified the two accused after DNA tests and on September 13, the accused Waqar, who was identified by the Punjab government, was arrested and denied the allegations of the provincial government.

Apart from pressuring the government to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice, political and social figures across the country are still expressing outrage over the incident.

At the same time, the government and politicians are being called upon to reform the law in order to bring severe punishment to the perpetrators of rape.

In such a situation, Bakhtawar Zardari Bhutto, sister of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while expressing concern over the increase in 'rape' incidents in the country, said that Pakistan needs 'sex education'.

Sharing a tweet by a woman named Haya Bukhari, Bakhtawar Bhutto expressed concern over the rising incidence of rape in the country and stressed the need for sex education in the country.

The woman shared by Bakhtawar Bhutto's tweet claimed that joint sex education classes in the African country of Kenya reduced the incidence of rape by 51%, while 73% of boys resisted their sexual exploitation.

Sharing the tweet, Bakhtawar Bhutto wrote in his tweet that the incidents of 'rape' have increased from madrassas to parking lots across the country and women and animals are not safe even in their homes.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari wrote that there is a need for 'sex education' in Pakistan, because it is a crime that is never reported.

Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari wrote that we need to educate the new generation to compete and protect instead of pretending.

Many people commented on Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari's tweet and most of them criticized him and reminded him that his party has also been in government.

Many also criticized Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari for saying that his brother and his party were against the public execution of rape accused, first persuading his brother and party to support him on the issue.

Among those who reacted to Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari's tweet was actor Feroz Khan, who shared his tweet and raised some questions in front of him.

Feroze Khan asked Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari that he only wanted to ask him what he had done when his own party was in government.

Feroz Khan further asked Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, "Are you really awake now?"
