Army should be kept away from political affairs. Pak Army

The Army Chief and DG ISI have met the parliamentary leaders during which the military leadership has insisted on keeping the army away from political affairs.

According to private TV, the military leadership has made it clear that the army has nothing to do with the political process, directly or indirectly. The army always helps the civilian administration when needed. During the meeting with the parliamentary leaders, the military leadership called for speedy and effective implementation of the National Action Plan. During the meeting, issues related to administration of Gilgit-Baltistan and issues of national Islam were discussed.
