For the first time in Kuwait's history, eight women judges have been sworn in after being appointed to the Supreme Court.
According to the Kuwaiti News Agency, Kuwait has become the first Gulf country to appoint a large number of women judges to the Supreme Court.
The news agency says that 54 judges have been appointed in the Supreme Court, including 8 women judges in Kuwait.
According to the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, the work of women judges appointed will be reviewed shortly.
