An Israeli court has sentenced a man accused of burning a Palestinian family alive to 170 years in prison.
The court found 25-year-old Jewish settler Umair Umm bin Olinel guilty of setting fire to a Palestinian family home in the village of Duma in the West Bank city of Nablus on the night of July 31, 2015, and sentenced him to three years in prison and an additional 20 years. Sentenced to a total of 170 years under Israeli law.
The house of a poor Palestinian Saad Dawabshah was burnt to ashes due to the attack of the accused, as a result of which an 18-month-old infant was martyred and the caretaker of the house Saad Dawabshah was martyred in Beer Al-Sabba Hospital, while his wife Reham Hussain Dawabshah was martyred. She was martyred in a hospital in Tel Aviv on September 6.
Ahmed Doabshah, a four-year-old boy, survived the terrorist attack despite being seriously injured and is currently being cared for by his grandmother.
