A video of a Pakistani-born man being beaten and tortured during a West Yorkshire police arrest in the UK has gone viral on social media. The incident took place in Halifax on Sunday.
According to British media, the video shows the policeman threatening to strangle the accused.
After the video went viral, West Yorkshire Police Acting Assistant Chief Constable Usman Khan said the matter was being fully investigated and that two police officers involved had been removed from frontline duty.
He told the British media that steps had been taken to normalize the situation after a quick review of the video.
There will be a peaceful protest by the Asian community outside the Halifax police station today against the incident.
