Upset for legendary Serena Williams.

 


Former world tennis champion Serena Williams has been knocked out of the WTA top seed tennis tournament after an upset defeat to compatriot Shelby Rogers.

According to the details, Shelby Rogers defeated Upset in the quarter finals of the tournament and made it to the semi-finals while the young Kokoff has also reached the final four. Former world champion Serena Williams, who won 23 Grand Slam titles in the quarterfinals of the WTA Top Seed Open Tennis Tournament in Kentucky, USA, dropped out of the event after losing to compatriot seed No. 116 Shelby Rogers in the quarterfinals.

Serena Williams won the first set 1-6, Shelby 4-6 in the second set and then 6-7 on a tiebreaker in the third set to advance to the semifinals. In another match of the tournament, 16-year-old American Kokoff defeated Anas Jaber of Tunisia 6-4, 4-6, 1-6 to advance to the final four.
