In Germany, a 95-year-old frail woman cleverly used her intelligence to arrest a mob involved in counterfeiting.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, a cheating woman in Hamburg, Germany, called an elderly woman and demanded money after trying unsuccessfully to prove herself a friend.
The counterfeiter said she was on a ventilator affected by the corona and needed about 20,000 euros to pay the hospital fees. Upon hearing this, the weak woman realized that the caller was a fraud.
The 95-year-old woman skillfully kept him on the call and at the same time informed the police. After the call was interrupted, the elderly woman was also called from another number by other counterfeiters, one posing as a police officer and the other as a bank employee. It is believed that the victim had said that she was withdrawing money from the bank to pay.
In view of this, other accused falsely confirmed the transaction. The forger later sent a representative, whom he identified as a hospital staffer, but police arrested her and exposed the group.
