The Prime minister has resigned

 

The resignation of the Lebanese government was announced after the horrific bombing in Beirut. Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab, resigning from his post, said that the port bombings are the result of corruption, the roots of corruption are stronger than the state system. He said that political parties had burdened the country with debts. Hassan Diab further said that the people were standing by the demand to bring the perpetrators of the port blast to justice.

It should be noted that the Lebanese cabinet had already resigned. A bomb blast near the northern city of Beirut has killed at least 200 people and injured 6,000 others.
