The Punjab government has issued SOPs for educational institutions in connection with the resumption of educational activities. A notification of SOPs has been issued for educational institutions in Punjab in which the school administration has been directed to: Teach children to take precautions, avoid touching or touching anything, encourage children to wash their hands frequently with soap and tell them to take a bath before returning home from school.
The notification directed to refrain from touching eyes, nose and mouth without washing hands, staff and children suffering from respiratory problems should be advised to stay at home till complete recovery. Lectures to teachers under SOPs Masks must be worn during school hours to maintain a distance of 6 feet, mark in schools and avoid morning assembly, take care of social distance in classrooms, library, staff room, laboratory.
The notification said that more than one outdoor route should be used during school holidays, young children should not be involved in sports activities while 50 per cent less children should be accommodated in school vans or buses and hostels should be closed. According to the notification, the temperature must be checked before entering the educational institutions. Carpets will not be allowed to be laid on the floor in the educational institutions while disinfection of pick and drop vehicles will be ensured twice a day. ۔
It may be recalled that all the educational institutions across the country were closed due to the corona virus, while in view of the situation, it is being considered to open schools across the country from September 15.
