Russian fighter jet intercepts US spy plane over Black Sea

 

A Russian SU-27 fighter jet intercepted a US Navy radiotechnic spy plane over the Black Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Detected an air target over the neutral Black Sea that was approaching the Russian state border.

It was further stated that the crew of the SU-27 fighter jet identified the aerial object as a US Navy EP-3E aerial radio reconnaissance aircraft. Zweizada said that as soon as the US spy plane flew away from the Russian state border, the Russian fighters returned safely to the airport, while adding that no violation of the Russian border was allowed. The Russian aircraft ensured strict adherence to international airspace rules.
