Return of Bobby Deol's from "Class of 83"

 

This is the third collaboration between Netflix and actor Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment after Bard and Blood and Beat Rhythm.

In the film, Bobby Deol is playing the role of the head of the police academy. The story goes back to the 80's when the crime rate in Mumbai (then Bombay) was very high.

Vijay Singh (Bobby Deol) has decided to assemble a secret squad of officers who will counter criminals and thugs without any restrictions. The mission of this squad is to kill 5 members of a crime ring who are extremely dangerous for Bombay.

Derived from Hussain Zaidi's book "Class of 83: Punishers of Mumbai", the film also stars Anoop Soni, Vishwajit Pardhan, Joy Sen Gupta, Bhupinder Jadhav, Ninad Mahajani, Hatish Bhuj Raj, Sameer Pran Jape and Prathak Pratap.

Bobby Deol says, "When I was approached by director Ratil Sabharwal and Red Chillies Entertainment, I liked the depth of the role and I decided at the time that I wanted to be a part of the film."

According to the actor, this is my first attempt at a digital platform. I am excited to see the trailers of this film and this film on August 21.

Class 83 will be released on Netflix on August 21.
