According to a foreign news agency, millions of people have been forced to flee their homes due to the accumulation of water in low-lying areas of Bangladesh due to rains.
Arif-ul-Zaman Bhuiyan, head of the flood forecasting and warning center in Bangladesh, says the country is set to experience the worst floods in a decade.
Bangladesh's Agriculture Minister Abdul Razzaq says the floods have damaged crops worth 13.23 billion taka (US 15 15,156.4 million).
He said the floods had completely or partially destroyed standing crops on 1.58 lakh hectares of land in 37 districts, while Bangladesh had suffered three floods this year.

It may be recalled that 226 people have been killed in various accidents due to floods in Bangladesh since June 30.
