Police have declared the death of Dr Maha Ali Shah a suicide in Defense.

Police have completed an investigation into the mysterious suicide in four days and say that Dr Maha went to the bathroom and shot himself.

Police have arrested both the owner of the arms and the person who provided the arms to Dr Maha and registered a case.

In this regard, according to SSP South Shiraz Nazir, police have arrested two accused on the charge of providing pistol to the deceased Maha. The 9mm pistol belonged to Saad Siddiqui which Tabish Qureshi took and provided to Dr. Maha on request.

He said that when Dr. Maha returned from duty on the day of the incident, she was very upset. Maha was lying in the room with her sister when her father Asif Shah also came in the room. Meanwhile, Dr. Maha got up with an excuse and went to the bathroom, locked the door from inside and took a shower. He sat against the wall in the bathroom and shot himself with a 9mm pistol which crossed his head and stuck in the wall. Done.

Hearing the sound of the bullet, the father, along with his other daughter, broke down the bathroom door and found Dr. Maha covered in blood under the shower while his head was on the commode.

Shiraz Nazir said that Dr. Maha's father called helper 15 and immediately called his close relative Dr. Zahra and Dr. Maha Ali Shah was rushed to the hospital who could not recover from his injuries during a few hours of treatment. Passed away

Dr. Maha Ali Shah was suffering from severe depression and was talking about killing himself. Why did Dr. Maha Ali commit suicide? In this regard, the police are closely investigating all aspects.

Case registered against arms suppliers

SSP South Shiraz Nazir said that Gizri police has registered a case on the complaint of ASI Sanaullah.

ASI Sanaullah stated that on the night of August 18, he reached inside Bungalow No. 34 / II, Commercial Street No. 11, DHA Phase 4, where he found a 9mm pistol with loaded magazine, shell and shotgun. The coin was seized while a 9mm pistol was found.

Information was obtained from the license holder of the said weapon, according to which the said 9mm pistol was issued to Saad Nasir Siddiqui and further investigation revealed that Saad Nasir gave his weapon to Tabish Qureshi who handed over the said weapon to Dr. Maha. Provided and Dr. Maha committed suicide with the same weapon. A case has also been registered against the accused for supplying arms under the Sindh Arms Act.
