Pakistan decides to ban online game 'Pub G'


The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has decided to maintain the ban on online game players in non-battle ground (PubG).

According to a statement issued by PTA on the social networking site Twitter, PTA asked the game management for details of PubGK sessions, its users in Pakistan and the controls imposed by the company. However, no response was received from PubG.

Therefore, according to the statement, PTA has decided that the ban on online game PubG will remain in place.

It was also informed that the decision was taken by the authority after a detailed hearing on July 9 in the light of the Lahore High Court's directive. Other interested parties also participated in the hearing.

It is to be noted that the decision to maintain the ban on online game PubG was met with strong reactions on social media and was voiced by social media users as well as some social media activists.

After being informed about this decision by PTA, hashtags like 'Minister of IT should resign', 'Pub G in Pakistan', 'In Ben Pub G Pakistan' kept trending on Twitter.

It may be recalled that on July 1, the PTA had banned the Pub G game after receiving complaints from various sections of the society.

A statement issued by the PTA said that the PTA had received numerous complaints against the game, saying it was addictive, a waste of time and a serious threat to children's mental and physical health. Causes adverse effects.

In addition, a petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court against the ban, on which the decision was reserved.
