Lebanon's first information minister resigns after Beirut bombing

The first resignation came after the blast near the port of Beirut and Lebanon's Information Minister Manal Abdul Samad has resigned.

According to Arab News, in a statement, Manal said that after the tragedy in Beirut, he announced his resignation from the government and apologized to the Lebanese people for the failure.

Meanwhile, the head of Lebanon's Maroonite Church called on the entire government to resign over the tragedy. The people are angry and stormed several important buildings.
