A woman in Lahore, the capital of Pakistan's Punjab province, has filed a divorce petition in the Family Court over her husband's refusal to video chat on social media.
Lahore Family Court Judge Faraz Javed Warraich heard the application for divorce degree on Tuesday.
Kunza Ijaz, a woman from Lahore, Punjab, said in a petition filed in the court that her husband prevented her from video chatting on social media.
According to the petitioner, she earns more than Rs 1,500 a day by video chatting on the Bego Video Call Point app, while her husband's earnings are hard to come by.
Kunza Ijaz's husband is of the view that he earns money by driving a rickshaw, while his wife talks to illegal strange men on social media in an illegal and immoral manner.
The husband has taken the position that his wife talks to strange men. The court has issued notice to the woman's husband seeking a final reply.
