Iran compensates Taliban for attacks on coalition forces, US broadcaster claims.

The US broadcaster has claimed that Iran paid a heavy price to the Taliban to carry out attacks on US and coalition forces in Afghanistan.

US TV, CNN, citing a joint report by the CIA and other intelligence agencies, wrote that in 2019, Iran carried out six attacks on Americans and coalition forces through Taliban factions. The report also blamed Iran for the Haqqani network's attack on Bagram Air Base, saying that Iran had paid a heavy price for the attack. Six coalition troops were wounded in the attack.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that Iran is using the Taliban and other armed groups in Afghanistan. US officials have made similar allegations against Iran in the past, with the death of Iranian commander Qasim Soleimani increasing.
