A 14-year-old girl from Ganupur sub-division was six months pregnant when her mother told her that the incident took place in India. Found out
"A few days ago, the girl's mother found out that her daughter's condition had deteriorated and called a local hope worker to take her for a check-up. A medical examination at a government hospital revealed that the girl was six months pregnant. The girl then revealed to her mother that six people had raped her on various occasions.
Five suspects from the same village have been arrested. The accused first attacked the girl seven months ago while she was bathing alone in a ditch near her village. A Ganupur police station official said six men allegedly raped her and then threatened not to reveal the incident to anyone.
