France announces more troops in the Eastern Mediterranean against Turkey.

According to a foreign news agency, there is a dispute between Turkey and Greece in the eastern Mediterranean over the search for natural gas and oil in the disputed waters.

Greece and Cyprus object to the fact that Turkish ships are exploring for gas and oil in the Eastern Mediterranean under Turkish Navy security.

France supports Greece and Cyprus and opposes Turkey on this issue. French President Emmanuel Macron has called on Turkey to suspend its oil and gas campaign immediately or face a military confrontation.

Emmanuel Macron expressed concern over tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean, saying he was increasing his military presence in the region to co-operate with Greece.

Turkey, on the other hand, says it owns the sea area and knows how to defend its rights, interests and relations in the waters. There are abundant gas reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean, which are often disputed between Turkey, Cyprus and Israel.
