Five people were killed and 10 others injured when they fell from the balcony of Chitral Hotel.
According to Express News, five people were killed and 10 others were seriously injured when the balcony of a well-known hotel in Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa collapsed. The dead and injured tourists are from Kasur, Lahore.
According to police, all the victims belonged to three families, who had come to visit Kasur and were staying at the hotel. All the people were standing on the balcony on the third floor of the hotel watching the accident take place. The dead included four men and a woman.
According to DG Rescue, 6 children are also among the injured, while the condition of 4 people is said to be critical. The critically injured have been shifted to Peshawar by helicopter.
According to a spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital, the injured tourists have been admitted to DHQ Hospital Chitral, orders have been issued to arrange food and accommodation for the families of the injured, while LRH emergency will remain on high alert.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has expressed regret over the incident of tourists falling from the balcony of a hotel in Chitral and expressed deep sorrow and grief and prayed for the forgiveness of the dead and recovery of the injured.
