Dr Maha Ali Shah, a young man who committed suicide with a pistol in the Defense area of ​​Karachi, had long been fed up with the alleged violence and behavior of his friend Junaid Khan.

According to the police investigation, Maha Ali had tried to commit suicide by jumping from the roof of his former residential building in November 2018 but failed due to lack of proper place to jump, also due to the attitude of his friend Junaid Khan. Later, on the intervention and persuasion of his friends, Maha Ali did not do so immediately.

From the mobile phone records of a friend of Maha Ali, the police also found evidence from a WhatsApp chat in November 2018, according to which the deceased mentioned Junaid Khan's violent behavior to his close friend and said that he should die. Wants

In a text message sent to her friend by the deceased, she said that she tried to jump from her residential building and die but could not find the right place for her failure.

Fatima, the sister of the deceased, has also mentioned Maha Ali's suicide attempts and intentions in various contexts.

According to investigative sources, Maha Ali had met Junaid Khan, the alleged perpetrator of the Young Lady Doctor's suicide, several years ago, and since then she has been a victim of a free environment and misbehavior.

Police, citing recorded statements in the case of Maha Ali's suicide, said that Junaid Khan allegedly drugged Maha Ali, took him to various private parties but later misbehaved and resorted to violence. Because of this Maha Ali was unable to do so.

Police have confirmed that Maha Ali first asked Junaid Khan to bring a pistol to commit suicide, but he did not do so. He then asked his new friend Tabish Qureshi to do the same. Tabish got a 9mm pistol from his friend Saeed Siddiqui for a day or two which he gave to Maha Ali.

Tabish said in an initial statement that he only handed over a pistol which did not contain bullets, but according to police, the pistol contained three bullets, one of which was fired by Maha Ali himself while two bullets were recovered from the pistol.

Asif Ali Shah, from Mirpur Khas, lives in Karachi for his children's education and employment. The family rented the house two weeks ago. The rooms have not been set up yet. On this basis, Maha Ali, his younger sister Fatima, Asif Ali Shah and his mother slept in the same air-conditioned room. In addition to the double bed in the room, the two sisters had mattresses for their sleeping. However, Maha had set up a bathroom in the other room where the suicide took place.

According to police, at the time of the incident, a close friend of Asif Ali Shah, father of the deceased Maha Ali, had gone to the house of a member of the Provincial Assembly while another guest was also coming to the house. The three friends were in another room. According to the police investigation, two domestic workers were also at home at the time of the incident.
