A piece of Lego that was stuck in the child's nose two years, what happened now?

A Lego piece stuck in a child's nose in New Zealand has finally come out two years later.

Sameer Anwar, a resident of Dundon, South Island, was playing with a Lego piece in 2018 when he put it in his nostrils.

His father, Mudassar, tried to look him in the nose with a flashlight, but he could not see anything.

The doctor told the family that the piece would come out of the body automatically, but that did not happen.

Speaking to BBC News Beat, Mudassar said: "Since then we have been convinced that there is nothing in his nose."

But Samir couldn't believe that this hand piece from his Lego seat had slipped out of his nose.

His father says he started complaining a few days later: "He kept saying no, I have something in my nose."

But two years later, the family is convinced that this piece of Lego has left their body.

But this week Samir went out with his family and was eating a muffin when the shiny powder on it made his nose uncomfortable.

"He was very upset, we told him to clear his nose," says N's father.

That's when the black piece of Lego fell on the tissue paper and they were all amazed.

"We were all shocked. "I've been telling you for a long time that Lego is in my nose, but you didn't believe me," Samir said.

On Tuesday, Samir went to the doctor again and was told again and perhaps for the last time that his nose was now completely clean.

"I was both surprised and a little scared," Samir told Newsbeat.

He said that he is still a big fan of Lego and he is very impressed to see that the Lego piece is still safe.
