Colombo : A cat arrested for smuggling drugs to inmates inside a Sri Lankan jail has escaped from jail.
The cat was caught last Saturday smuggling drugs to inmates at Colombo's Velikada prison. The cat had a plastic bag tied around its neck containing 2 grams of heroin, 2 SIM cards and a memory chip.
Prison officials arrested the cat and placed it under strict surveillance, but the cat escaped on Monday. Last week, police also nabbed a drug smuggler on the outskirts of Colombo.
