On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the nuclear deal with Iran, European Foreign Minister Joseph Borrell said that we should not think that in the future, the opportunity for the international community to resolve Iran's nuclear program in such a comprehensive manner should be repeated. Will be born
He expressed these views in a statement issued from Brussels as the coordinator of the Joint Commission on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (JCPOA) with Iran.
It should be noted that an agreement was reached between Iran and the P5 + 1 countries on July 14, 2015, under which the purpose was to prevent Iran's nuclear program from becoming a weapon and to give it concessions.
The agreement was ratified by UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Joseph Borrell said it was unfortunate that the United States decided to withdraw from the JCPOA in May 2018 and has not attended any meetings or activities since.
He said the agreement was the only way to reassure the international community about Iran's nuclear program.
