We have seen drive-in or car-themed cinemas in Pakistan, but now an Australian company is building a cinema in Houston for the first time on September 9, in which people will watch movies in boats floating in the water instead of on land. The film will be screened experimentally for a week in Houston.

The Swimming Cinema will have 12 to 24 boats and can accommodate 8 people in each boat. Customers will have to pay for both the movie and the boat ticket. Popcorn and other light items will be provided free of charge while only a group of friends or family will be able to sit in a boat.

In the next phase, the second cinema in Austin will open on September 23. Moviegoers will be able to watch new and classic movies.
