According to the details, the largest marriage hall in Chakswari area of ​​Mirpur district, Rupial Marriage Hall, completely collapsed. Suddenly, the entire 3-storey building collapsed on its foundations.

The owner of the marriage hall and his son were killed when they came under the rubble. Rescue sources said that six people were rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building and rushed to the DHQ hospital for medical treatment.

Rescue operations are underway at the scene, rescue operations are being carried out to evacuate other people trapped in the wreckage, the rescue said, adding that it is not yet known how many people were inside the marriage hall at the time of the accident. Between thirty and forty people were inside.



A large number of people gathered at the scene after the accident, people also took part in rescue operations.

It should be noted that at present, people in other parts of the country have become a picture of grief due to lockdown, marriage halls across the country are closed due to lockdown, negotiations with the government to open marriage halls.
