Introduced new features to Facebook Messenger

Facebook has announced the introduction of some new privacy features for its messenger platform.
The purpose of these features is to give users more control over chats and people interaction.
The first feature is the app lock, which allows the user to unlock Messenger with the device's privacy settings such as fingerprint or facial recognition.
The purpose of this feature is to protect the user's account when access to their chats is not possible when someone uses their phone.
This feature is currently available in iOS and will be introduced for Android devices in the next few weeks or months.
In addition, Facebook is introducing a new section on privacy settings where users will be able to easily access the app, block people and more.
The social network is also working on new controls for users so that they can choose for themselves which people will be able to message or call them directly, while whose requests will go to the message requests folder and whose messages or Call they don't want to see.
Facebook is also testing another feature that will blur images in the Message Request folder so users don't have to look at pictures of people they don't know, are blocked from or have reported to their account. ۔
It should be noted that Facebook has long been criticized for not protecting the privacy of users on its platforms.
Consumer data scandals are frequent, such as the Cambridge Analytica scandal, in which the third-party app had access to the personal details of more than 85 million users.
Similarly, last year, Facebook discovered that millions of Instagram passwords were stored in plain text, while the company also admitted to collecting email contacts from 1.5 million users without their permission.
