Afghan girl kills 2 Taliban fighters for killing parents.

An Afghan girl shot dead two Taliban fighters and wounded several others who dragged the girl's parents out of the house and killed her for supporting the government.

The incident took place last week when militants attacked Qamar Gul's house in a village in Ghor province, according to AFP.

The militants were looking for the girl's father, local police chief Habib-ur-Rehman Malikzada told AFP.

The police officer further said that the girl's father was a supporter of the government so the Taliban went to his house and dragged him out. When his wife resisted, the Taliban killed the couple outside their house.

The police officer said Qamar Gul was inside the house when he saw the situation, picked up an AK-47 (Kalashnikov) and first killed the two Taliban fighters who killed his parents and then wounded others.

According to Afghan officials, Qamar Gul is between 14 and 16 years old, but Afghanistan does not generally have an accurate age record.

Other Taliban fighters came to attack his home after the incident, but villagers and pro-government elements forced him to return after a skirmish.

Afghan security forces evacuated Qamar Gul and her younger brother, said Muhammad Arif Uber, spokesman for the provincial governor.

Details of the incident went viral on social media where Qamar Gul is being lauded for his "brave" deeds.

Along with this, a picture of Qamar Gul wearing a dupatta on her head and holding a machine gun in her hand during the last few days has also gone viral.

Najiba Rahimi, a Facebook user, wrote, "Greetings to Himmat, very well done."

"We know no one can take the place of parents, but your revenge will give you peace of mind," said Mohammad Saleh, a Facebook user.

It should be noted that the Taliban usually kill people in the village who they suspect to be informers of the government or security forces.

In recent months, militants have stepped up their attacks on security forces despite agreeing to a peace deal with Kabul.
