USA put pressure on India to took sanctions away from Kashmir

The US has urged India to immediately relax the sanctions imposed on occupied Kashmir and also reiterate the offer of mediation by the US President.
US State Department official for South Asia Alice Wells said, "We look forward to removing the sanctions and seeing immediate action on the release of detained individuals."

She added that the United States has a serious concern about the sanctions imposed on Kashmir residents and the widespread arrests of politicians and business leaders.

"We will wait for the Indian government to restore political ties with local leaders and hold elections as soon as possible,".

She further said that the world would benefit from the lack of dialogue between India and Pakistan, promoting tension and therefore the US President offered mediation if the two countries agreed.

It is to be remembered that US President Donald Trump held separate meetings with the Prime Ministers of the two countries during the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.

Attending a rally in Houston with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two leaders praised each other and expressed great friendship. However, Donald Trump later dismissed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement in the rally.

On the other hand, in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Imran Khan, he once again offered mediation to end tensions between the two countries.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is present in the United States on a 7-day visit to attend the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, where he met with leaders of several countries and world leaders and drew the world's attention to Kashmir.

During this time, Prime Minister Imran Khan not only condemned the Indian Prime Minister, but also considered his views influenced by Nazi ideas.
US official Alice Wells called the Prime Minister's comment "inoperative" and said "a reduction in rhetoric would be welcome, especially between the 2 nuclear powers."

She also questioned why Prime Minister Imran Khan does not speak about other Turkish Muslims and China, which has detained one million Muslims.
"I would like to express the same level of concern about Muslims detained in West China who are in a situation similar to prisoners,".

On August 5, Narendra Modi's government announced its affiliation with the Indian Constitution by abolishing its special status to Kashmir.

In the wake of the move, in response to the protests of the Kashmiri people, the Indian government sent some 1.5 million additional security personnel into the valley and curfew in some areas.

In addition to the ban on movement in the occupied valley, the Indian government had cut off the Internet, communication links and telephone lines.
In addition, thousands of Kashmiri youths, including political and social leaders of occupied Kashmir, were arrested.

Despite spending nearly a month and a half, the Indian government continues to carry out sanctions in the valley, but Kashmiri youth continue to protest and continue to protest daily.

Not only local and international organizations but also leaders of several countries have expressed concern over the dire situation in occupied Kashmir.
