Caution should be taken to hold Iran responsible for attacks on Saudi installations: Jordan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip  has called for caution in accusing Iran of attacking Saudi Arabia's oil installations.

"I do not think that accusing Iran will be the right thing to do," the Turkish president said in an interview to US news agency Fox News.

It is understood that on September 14, drone strikes were carried out on Abaqq and Kharis oil installations of Aramco, Saudi Arabia's largest oil company.
Riyadh's oil production was badly affected by these attacks, while the global market also saw a rise in oil prices.

Although the Yemeni Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks, Riyadh, Washington and several European governments say Iran was responsible.

Tehran, however, rejected its role in the drone attacks. On the same issue, the Turkish president said, "We need to accept the fact that such attacks are coming from different parts of Yemen".

According to Fox News, he said, "If we put all the burden on Iran, it would not be correct because the available evidence does not necessarily indicate that fact."

Speaking on the occasion, Recep Tayyip criticized the US sanctions imposed on Iran, saying such actions had 'never resolved anything'.

In the past, Turkey bypassing the sanctions dismissed the allegations of Iran's assistance, saying that these were allegations by opposition opponents.

Rajab Tayyab told Fox News that "the voice of the allegations was raised by a terrorist organization known as the Fatou, which was behind a failed military coup in July 2016".

"These allegations are more than false, they are propaganda by the Fatu terrorist organization," he said.

Turkey is thought to have called the movement a "fato" by US-based Fatehullah Golan, but the organization denied involvement in the military coup and said it was a peaceful group that promoted education and Islam.
