The excise department has formulated a new strategy for action against open liter vehicles. It has been decided to abolish the TO form used for vehicle transfer while more than 700,000 vehicles are operating on open liter across Punjab including Lahore. As soon as the biometric system is launched from next month, the issuance of new tax forms and issued TO forms will also be canceled.
Excise officials say that with the sale of a vehicle, the citizens have to pay Rs. Elimination of open letter will improve e-challaning and challans will also go to the homes of the original owners.
