A cylinder exploded at a hospital in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing at least 45 people.
According to a foreign news agency, an explosion at an oxygen cylinder at Ibn al-Khatib Hospital in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killed at least 45 Corona patients. Rescue operations were launched immediately after the incident. Other staff, including patients and their carers, were evacuated.
According to the Iraqi Civil Defense, there were no fire extinguishers at the hospital, which quickly engulfed the entire hospital, while patients had to be evacuated from ventilators, causing more casualties.
The Human Rights Commission has called the incident a "criminal negligence" and called on the Iraqi prime minister to fire the health minister.
