Terrible increase in India's air pollution

Air pollution in the Indian capital has reached an all-time high, with the Modi government's claims to improve Delhi's air quality remaining unsubstantiated.

According to the report of a foreign news agency, air pollution in the capital of India, Delhi, is continuously increasing, due to which the lives of millions of citizens have been endangered.

According to media reports, the air quality index recorded on Tuesday morning is 318 which falls in the worst category of air pollution.

The steps taken by the federal and provincial governments of India to improve the air quality system of the capital also proved fruitless.

According to media reports, the most polluted areas of Delhi include Alipur and Jahangirpur with air quality index of 378 and 386 respectively.

Environmental pollution agencies say the rise in the air quality index to such an extent is a matter of grave concern to Delhiites.

Officials said that Delhi received less than normal rainfall during the monsoon, which led to further increase in air pollution and accumulation of dust particles in the air.

Officials say Delhi's air pollution is likely to increase further in the future as straw is used in Delhi's neighboring states during the winter.
