According to The Independent Urdu, Asif Iqbal claimed that "he has been removed from office and the reason is not what is stated in the notice but the tweet of Iman Mazari which he had made against him a few days ago."
On September 30, Iman Mazari, the daughter of Federal Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari, in a tweet called the Additional Director 'Ali Zafar's spokesperson' on the issue of harassment between singer Ali Zafar and Mesha Shafi. And she is known to be critical of government policies and has been critical of enforced disappearances.

As if the FIRs arent bad enough, the Assistant Director, FIA Cybercrime Lahore is basically Ali Zafar's personal spokesperson.
This system is rotten to the core.
It needs to be dismantled. pic.twitter.com/MNYAQA6TGG
