A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the suo motu notice related to the Army Public School tragedy. Amanullah Kanrani has been appointed as judicial assistant.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed said that it is a tragedy that action is always taken against petty employees. Why was the tragedy of Army Public School not reported in advance? Those who show negligence are as responsible as terrorists. General Sahib will now have to end the tradition of action against junior employees.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmad said that it is time to start action on every tragedy from above. It is also the responsibility of the government to satisfy the parents of the martyrs. The government should ensure that there is no tragedy like APS in future. The court adjourned the hearing of the case for a month.
