The imam was injured in an attack during prayers at a mosque in Shah Faisal Colony area of Shar-e-Quaid.
According to private TV, in Shah Faisal Colony No. 1, an accused named Tauqeer Qureshi attacked Pesh Imam while he was performing Sunnah. Qari Abdul Samad was injured in the attack, but other worshipers caught up with the attacker. The worshipers handed over the assailant to the police. Police have registered a case against Qari Abdul Samad.
In the video of the incident, it can be seen that when the worshipers tried to control the accused, the accused tried to attack them with a dagger.
